Dear Hillcrest Estates Neighbor:

It is time again for our annual meeting and membership drive. The meeting will be in my yard, and while usually short, you may want to bring a chair. Members of the city council will be invited.

Our annual dues are $60. This pays for mowing and maintenance at our 5 entrances and around our 1.2 mile perimeter. Ours is a 14 year old voluntary organization that exists to keep our entrances from being an embarrassment and to help maintain our home values. A more detailed history of HELP can be found on our website.

Your association is working with the City to have needed repairs done to our perimeter brick walls. These walls are on city property and are the city’s responsibility. We expect to see these repairs done later in this fiscal year or in the new fiscal year, after October 1, as the city budget permits.

This past year 153 households paid their memberships. This included 36 households not previously members and 7 payments by owners of investor owned properties. 38 of the 482 homes in our subdivision were investor owned.

In order to meet our budget this year, we need at least 167 homes to pay their membership fee. With your continued strong support, we will not have to reduce the number of times per month our perimeter is edged and mowed. At present, it is maintained weekly during the peak growing seasons.

Directors continuing to serve are Amiee Fuller, Amy Mathews and Fred Lusk.

Please contact us if you have any questions or comments about your association.

Please help us all be proud of our neighborhood by supporting your Hillcrest Estates Landscape Program.

Fred Lusk, President
